Celtic Rank Outsiders to Sign Chelsea Defender

A lot has been made of Brendan Rodgers’ relationship with John Terry over the past 48 hours after the player revealed he would be leaving the London club this summer.

Terry, 36, now has the opportunity to go play elsewhere before hanging up his boots and many are speculating that Celtic could be a destination for the defender.

Rodgers already brought in veteran defender Kolo Toure at the start of this season and while he hasn’t played many games his influence in the dressing room has been very positive with younger players.

Could the Irishman see that potential in John if Kolo was to move on this summer?

It remains to be seen if Kolo will take up a more permanent role behind the scenes that would free up a slot for John and the chance to move to Celtic would be an intriguing possibility for the Chelsea legend.

At 16/1, if i was a betting man I would be holding onto my cash. A Lampard-esk MLS team deal seems the most likely.
