REPORTS that Celtic are interested in Red Star Belgrade’s Vujadin Savic seem to be wide of the mark after sources at the club dismissed the link.
The 27-year-old spoke out about leaving Red Star in search for a new challenge and Serbian outlets had linked him with a move to Celtic.
However, this seems more a case of agents touting his name out there in order to win their client a move.
Speaking about leaving Red Star, the player said he would go if they want to sell him.
“If I stay in Belgrade I will be happy, but if the club wants to sell me this summer, then I will go.” the defender admitted.”
Celtic signed Marvin Compper in January and may look to add another defender in the summer if they sell Erik Sviatchenko permanently.
