Celtic Protocol – Squad to Avoid 14 Day Isolation Period

STV man Ronnie Charters has revealed NO other Celtic players will have to isolate as a result of Edouard’s positive test this evening with the French under 21 set up.

We have to stress the human side of things and wish Eddy a speedy recovery if he is displaying symptoms of the virus.

It’s unclear how long Edouard will have to isolate for. In France, it’s seven days after a positive test, in the UK it’s ten. Both timelines allow for Eddy to be available for selection for the Glasgow Derby but with no chance of returning to Lennoxtown and training with his teammates, it looks like it will be a no go.

Celtic have stressed nobody has come back with a positive result during their stringent testing and will continue to monitor the situation.

Hopefully, this won’t be a far reaching and it hasn’t spread in this instance. Time will tell.
