Celtic Pre-Season Friendly Cancelled

Pre season is just around the corner for Brendan Rodgers and Celtic.

It is not long before the Bhoys begin preparations for the 2023/24 season with them having a number of trips and matches lined up.

Most notably, the Hoops are due to head to Japan where they will face Yokohama F. Marinos and Gamba Osaka.

After this, they will arrive in South Korea.

There, Rodgers’ men were supposed to be playing Premier League outfit Wolves although they have been forced to withdraw from their South Korean tour next month amid ‘financial and logistical obligations’ not being met:

This will be rather disappointing for Celtic as now, a gap has been left in their pre season schedule.

The clash against Wolves was due to take place on the 26th of July.

Now because it will not go ahead, the Hoops have a gap in their calendar between the 22nd of July when they face Gamba and the 2nd of August when they welcome Athletic Club to Parkhead.

They will be in South Korea during this time and hopefully a suitable solution to this problem can be found.
