The Celtic Family are in mourning this morning as we woke up to the news Billy McNeill had passed away.
Billy McNeill was and forever will be a giant of Glasgow Celtic Football Club. His list of accolades second to none.
The embodiment of everything great about Celtic and a man who gave us a huge portion of his life. Spending 18-years as a player for Glasgow’s green and white the Celtic legend racked up 790 appearances for the club.
Celtic have posted a moving video tribute to him this morning after the news broke to celebrate Billy’s Celtic career.
There will be lots of tears shed and stories told over the days and weeks to come about Celtic’s greatest ever captain. Billy was a man who had respect from his rivals as well as his teammates. It’s really hard to put into words this morning what Billy meant to so many people. Just watch this video.
