Celtic remain on the hunt for a new number one following Joe Hart’s retirement at the end of last season.

Several goalkeepers have been linked with moves to Parkhead this summer. Speculation surrounding Martin Dubravka took an upturn following Slovakia’s exit from the Euros on Sunday, but the Hoops are said to be in for another ‘keeper who is out in Germany.
According to a report from French outlet L’Equipe, Celtic, along with Serie A outfit Parma, have ‘positioned themselves’ to sign Swiss stopper Yvon Mvogo.
Despite suffering relegation to Ligue 2 with Lorient last season, Mvogo enjoyed a solid personal year. He will leave the club this summer, though, and is not short of options.
At 30 years old, Mvogo has been around the block having turned out for the likes of Young Boys, RB Leipzig, and PSV Eindhoven. Now, he is entering his peak years.
Finding a home where will get consistent minutes and play at a decent level would be beneficial for the player, and Celtic can offer just that.
Currently at the Euros with Switzerland, we likely won’t hear anything concrete regarding Mvogo’s future until after his nation is eliminated from the tournament.
Brendan Rodgers will want a new number one in the door as soon as possible, but he may face a waiting game with some potential targets.
