Celtic Park Snubbed in EA Announcement

The excitement around Celtic signing up with EA Sports this week has been dampened by EA’s latest update on their next FIFA game.

The excitement came this week when Rangers first put out a communication saying they’d signed a long term deal with the gaming giants that would see Ibrox be added to the game. This put Celtic fans on alert for a similar announcement.

Less than 24 hours later, the Scottish Champions put out their EA announcement but were very careful in what they wrote in the press release.

Unlike Rangers press release, Celtic made no mention of Celtic Park being included in the game. It was just presumed because Ibrox was going in under the deal that CP would naturally follow.

EA has released its list of stadiums for the new game and neither stadium is there. The prospect of the stadiums being added into the game look low with the gaming giants confirming new stadiums for this year’s game that will be available after launch.

If this turns out to be the case, it will be bitterly disappointing for Celtic fans who have been waiting on the iconic stadium being put into the game.

It appears Rangers fake news may have struck again. The official Rangers website has now deleted any mention of their stadium going into the game.

It looks like Celtic players face scans will be in the game, which is a step in the right direction. Maybe the stadium will come later down the line in a later iteration of the game. It’s worth noting, at this point in time, FIFA 23 will be the last game in the series where EA and FIFA are partners. Any new game past FIFA 23 will have a brand new name.
