Celtic have confirmed 2,000 fans will be allowed at the friendly later this month.
Season ticket holders who have opted into the matchday programme will be balloted and told if they’ve beaten the odds to get into watch the game.
Fans are perplexed that Hampden just hosted the Euros where the government allowed 12k plus fans, and now Celtic have to be satisfied with 2000. We also witnessed 16k at. Rugby event in Scotland recently.
Celtic SLO, John Paul Taylor offered an explanation.
I think the explanation at the time was events of national interest/importance hopefully numbers will increase as we work towards full capacity

Celtic have three home games in quick succession later this month; the aforementioned Preston tie, followed by Midtjylland in the Champions League and then West Ham in a friendly.
If things go to plan, there could be nearly full numbers by the middle of August, right now we’re feeding off scraps.
