Celtic On the Brink of First Summer Signing

CELTIC are close to concluding a deal for Christopher Jullien after the player and his agent travelled to London to take part in a medical with terms all but agreed.

Once the medical is complete (barring another medical disaster .ie David Turnbull) Jullien will become Celtic’s first summer signing and what a statement it will be. This has been confirmed by several media outlets including STV Sport.

The Toulouse defender has been on Celtic’s radar for some time now and their interest goes back to when Brendan Rodgers was in charge of the team. This transfer is going to be a fairly large outlay for the Scottish Champions which won’t break their transfer record but will run it close.

The towering centre back will be Neil Lennon’s first signing since returning as full-time boss and will follow in the footsteps of former Celtic defender, Bobo Balde who joined the club from Toulouse under Martin O’Neill.

After the disappointment of the Turnbull deal Celtic have made a statement bringing the 26-year-old to the club. The right kind of statement for once!
