Como, newly promoted to the Italian top flight and backed by ambitious owners, have made their interest official as they look to build a competitive squad for the 2025/26 season. The Italians are one of several clubs monitoring Kuhn, with Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig also believed to be in the mix.

Kuhn arrived at Celtic Park in January 2024 from Rapid Vienna while struggling initially on his first six months at the club, the winger kicked on in his first full season. His early season performances drew praise for his energy and willingness to take players on, adding spark to Celtic’s wide play during key points in the title race and in Europe.
However, the German winger’s form tailed off in the final third of last season — a dip that did not go unnoticed by supporters. While he still heavily contributed across the campaign, there has been ongoing speculation that Kuhn could move on just 18 months after joining the club.

Despite the outside interest, Celtic are under no pressure to sell. Kuhn is contracted until 2029, putting the club in a strong position at the negotiating table. Whether or not they entertain offers this summer will ultimately come down to the price on offer and the winger’s place in Rodgers’ plans moving forward.
For now, the approach from Como signals the start of what could become a wider transfer tug-of-war for a player who remains highly rated across the continent.
