Ange Postecoglou’s side went into the break having extended their lead at the top of the SPFL Premiership to nine points after a victory against Ross County and will be keen to get back to winning ways when they go up against Aberdeen this weekend.
It shall be a huge boost that captain Callum McGregor has returned to training have got some gametime under his belt against Rennes in a friendly at the weekend.
The Hoops form in the league so far this season has been almost perfect having an almost exemplary 100% win rate in the league apart from the match in Paisley against St Mirren.
New recruits Yuki Kobayashi and Alistair Johnston joined their new teammates in training this morning since both players made the switch to Celtic during the World Cup break.
It’s great that both can arrive early and have the chance to adjust to life in Glasgow as they have a few weeks before they are eligible to make their debuts for the club.
Fans thought the club were quick off their mark in the last January window having announced Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi on Hogmanay but Celtic’s two new latest signings have arrived weeks before the Christmas dinner has been served.
Celts Are Here spoke to Alistair Johnston with the player excited to getting started at the club having admitted that once he spoke to Ange Postecoglou that he wanted the deal to be done.
