Celtic New Bhoy Wonders Why Authorities Won’t Listen To Players

Celtic will line out today at Rugby Park, playing for redemption for Thursday nights defeat and for an eight-point cushion in the league table. A win today against Kilmarnock will almost guarantee Celtic another league title.

New Bhoy, Jeremy Toljan said planning for the Rugby Park clash only started on Friday. To his shock, he found out he will be playing on a plastic pitch. Toljan can’t believe that there are so many teams using Astro pitches in Scotland when grass is clearly more conducive with attacking football. Speaking with Sky Sports, the on-loan defender wonders why players are not listened to on the matter.

‘Football is a player’s game so if the players say it’s better to play on grass pitches then we should do it’

“But in Germany, we don’t play on these kinds of pitches and I think it’s better if we play on natural grass.

It’s not just players, very few managers are advocates for Astro pitches. Most of them feel they can cause more injuries and the bounce of the ball is all wrong. Toljan has hit the ground running and looks to have made the right-back position his own already.

Kick off today from Rugby Park is at the slightly later time of 4 PM.
