Celtic New Bhoy Gets International Call

Celtic new bhoy Carl Starfelt has been rewarded with a call up to his national side this lunch time as the defender looks to become a more regular fixture for Sweden.

Carl has had three caps for his country until now and made his debut last year against Russia. All his games have come in international friendlies and he didn’t make the squad for the Euros.

However, his move to Celtic has raised his profile further and he now has the chance to make a real difference in World Cup qualifiers against Spain, Uzbekistan and Greece.

Carl has had an okay start to his Celtic career but will know he can do better in the coming weeks and months.

He’s still settling in and when you’re in a high profile position at the back, if you make a mistake it’s going to be majorly highlighted.

I’m positive Carl will prove a great signing for Celtic in the coming months. Right now, the defender has two massive games to prepare for before he heads out to play with his national side.

Alkmaar then theRangers await Celtic in the next few days. Hopefully he can have the bragging rights over Helander in the Swedish dressing room come next week!
