A month is a long time in football – especially if you’re not playing!
One man who will know that more than most right now is new Celtic signing Greg Taylor. The left-back came in on deadline day at the start of September with many believing he would fit seamlessly into the Celtic side – providing back up to Boli Bolingoli and competition.
As of yet, the defender hasn’t stepped onto the field for the club. He has made the bench but hasn’t got the chance to introduce himself to the support.
Celtic are up against Cluj on Thursday night and while Taylor is part of Celtic’s Euro squad – it would be highly unlikely to see the Scottish international start in the Europa League.
With Celtic scheduled against Livingston on Sunday in the SPFL it could be the most opportune time to hand Greg Taylor his debut.
He’s played there before and knows all about the artificial surface. It would give Boli the day off, as well as letting the defender stake his claim for a place in the side going forward.
