FORMER CELTIC MANAGER JOHN BARNES has told the media Celtic will need a miracle if they are to get out of their Champions League group into the last 16 of the competition.
The Englishman, who suffered a torrid time at Celtic Park back in the late 90s looks at his former club’s group and knows they have a massive task ahead.
If they can go any further, for me it’s a miracle, but I think they can win a couple of games, they can win a couple of games,” said the Liverpool Legend. If they can finish third and go into the Europa League then fine.

Celtic have been handed a tough draw and nobody is under any illusion about the size of the task in front of us. This is what the fans and players live for though, the fact that on any given night, in the searing cauldron of Celtic Park, we are capable of making miraculous things happen.
John Barnes should know this, although he never really experienced the ferocity of the Celtic support during his tenure – well at least not from a positive standpoint.
