Celtic Must Unleash Secret Weapon for Ten in a Row Tilt – Opinion

We don’t know when football will return in Scotland but when it does, I believe Neil Lennon can begin the bringing through more young talent.

Football is about to enter a sobering period where big money will not be spent. Clubs will have to watch their bottom line just that little bit more and the lack of gate receipts will make things tighter.

For Celtic, if they want to get to ten in a row in beyond, the best thing they can do is keep a hold of their best players right now and bring the best of the youth talent through to the first team

That means keeping Edouard, McGregor, Jullien and Forster.

On the academy side, we have one bhoy who stands out at the moment; Karamoko Dembele.

Having had a taste of first-team football, Neil Lennon has been very careful of his management of Dembele since returning to the club. Karamoko debuted in the final game of last season – getting 45 minutes under his belt against Hearts.

He’s played here and there since but is still on the periphery of the squad. When we get back to football, it’s time to bring the winger in and give him more minutes. Likely from the bench at first, but there’s no doubt he can make the leap. The youngster is small but he appears to be getting stronger, a player that can get fans on their feet.

If he was someone else’s player and we managed to land him on loan, we would be lauding the club for bringing him in. It’s time to get Dembele’s first-team career up and running.
