It feels like the longest running Celtic transfer saga in a while. Odsonne Edouard remains a Celtic player in early August even though he’s made it clear to the club he would like to move on before the end of the summer window.
Quite simply, there has been a lack of bids for the French striker who has had a tough time of things on the field. Edouard looks a far cry from his scintillating best from two seasons ago when he was the catalyst for the final two trebles of our four treble series.
The football market along with the player’s dip in form has to be contributing to the lack of interest. The French under 21s record scorer is a fantastic talent and right now it looks like if he does go – it might be to a bottom tier English side.
SunSport are reporting Brighton hope to wrap up a deal for the striker next week. There has been conflicting reports about Brighton’s interest in the Celtic star to date.
Celtic fans just want a deal to be done at this point. See what we can get for the frontman and move on.
It helps nobody Eddy sticking about if he doesn’t want to be here.
