According to MailSport, Atalanta officials have told Celtic it would take an exceptional offer for them to consider selling reported Celtic target Timothy Castagne.
The right back has been targeted by the club in recent weeks with Brendan Rodgers very keen to sort out his problem position.
Losing out on Cristiano Piccini in the summer means Celtic still have the defensive void to fill along with some cash which would have gone to the Piccini deal.

Castagne isn’t an automatic first pick at Atalanta and has told the Italian media he wants obe playing every week and may seek a move elsewhere in January.
If the defender does go out in January it seems highly unlikely it will be to Celtic if reports are true. With the defender being rated around £6million already, Atalanta looking for an ‘exceptional’ offer would put him very much out the Scottish Champions reach.
Celtic will have other targets in mind and Brendan Rodgers knows time is a factor in these deals. The manager hopes to get some players in before the end of the winter training camp in Dubai.
