Celtic look to have missed out on a reported defensive target, with Elfsborg defender Joseph Okumu signing for Belgian side Gent.
Earlier this month, the Hoops supposedly joined the race to sign the 24-year old defender (Read More) alongside the likes of Glasgow rivals Rangers and French sides such as Lorient and Reims.
This afternoon though, Gent announced the signing of the talented defender who signed a 4-year deal for a fee in the region of £3 million.

Okumu has impressed in the Swedish League since joining back in 2019 and is also a nine-time Kenyan internationalist.
Going into next season, Celtic are very much in need of defensive reinforcements in the centre-back area.
With our first competitive fixture just one month away, in Champions League qualifying against FC Midtjylland, signings need to be made and soon. Otherwise, we could find ourselves going into another qualifying campaign with Nir Bitton as a first-choice option there.
Fingers crossed, that is well underway and we can get some signing news soon.
