Celtic Miles Ahead? ‘Rubbish’ Says Former Celtic Man

CHARLIE NICHOLAS has taken a big swing at anyone who believes Celtic are miles ahead of The Rangers after Sunday’s clash at Celtic Park.

The former Celtic man blasted anyone who thinks that Celtic comprehensively outplayed their Glasgow rivals on the day as he spoke to Sky Sports News.

We can only gather Charlie doesn’t watch both clubs regularly and is basing his opinion on the scoreline itself.

‪”To say Celtic are still miles ahead is rubbish. They should have put the game to bed but Rangers were never out of it, no matter how average they played.‬

‪”Were Rangers scared? I don’t think so. They are trying to become winners again and that takes time and a bit of tinkering.‬

‪”Rangers will improve by the next game at Ibrox and I believe they will have the momentum by that point.‬”

To say the above out loud and believe it takes some amount of mental gymnastics for even the most intelligent to wrap their brain around.

Celtic have not been beaten in 12 attempts by the Ibrox side under Rodgers. They have played better against Celtic in previous encounters while Sunday’s game showed a backwards step in many respects for the wee team from Govan.

They were in awe of the Champions and didn’t want to venture too far out of their defensive areas for fear of being punished. They were correct because as soon as they pushed a little, they were punished by a far superior side.

Charlie needs to lay off the Gin.
