Liam Shaw was sent out on loan to Motherwell in January to get some much needed game time.
The midfielder was signed by Celtic on a pre-contract during Neil Lennon’s time in charge but finally made the move from Sheffield Wednesday last summer.

The player’s game time has been very limited at Celtic and it was the best option for both Liam and the club he go out on loan.
Who knew he would end up helping Celtic on a day when they weren’t at their best.
Liam was given the whole second half to help make an impact at Ibrox. The away side were already two goals down and looking like they would be on the end of a thumping. But thanks to some dig and endeavour by Liam and his teammates they managed to pull the two goals back and took a share of the spoils. Liam took to social media to celebrate.
Celtic fans left Easter Road on Sunday believing their lead at the go- of the table would be cut to just one point. The surprise fight back by Motherwell handed Celtic a reprieve on their off day in the capital.
Liam being loaned out looks like an even better bit of business now.
