Celtic Midfielder Surely Heading for Summer Parkhead Exit

Celtic were in a mess last season and even at the beginning of the current term. The squad was all over the place and the rebuild looked daunting.

Fast forward to mid-February and we’re top of the league by a point with a League Cup trophy in the bag.

The team has come a long way in such a short period of time. In this rebuild under Ange, there was always going to be winners and losers. Tom Rogic has certainly been a winner of Ange coming in and revitalising his Celtic career.

However, last season favourite Ismaila Soro is someone who has now fallen down the pecking order.

The midfielder was praised last season for the energy he brought the midfield. Now, he’s surplus to requirements.

The final straw has to be the Conference League squad where Soro was left out the side.

The player was dropped from the Europa League squad and with so many players in front of him now, this summer looks like the jumping off point for an exit.

Soro showed energy but the word ‘raw’ has always been used to describe him. Ange has brought in a high calibre of midfielder where it’s going to be difficult for Ismaila to make an impact.
