Celtic Midfielder Hints at Future After Bayern Heartbreak

Celtic midfielder Reo Hatate has posted an interesting social media post, to say the least, after Tuesday’s Champions League exit at the Allianz.

With Hatate’s long-term future at Celtic continually questioned, he is often a player who looks calm and collected. However, the nature of Alphonso Davies’ equaliser was too much for the Japanese midfielder to take, with Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers consoling the midfield warrior post-match.

It was clear to see just how much a win at the Allianz and a potential place in the last 16, with a win in extra time or penalties, would have meant to Hatate.

Having done it all domestically, Hatate was instrumental in an unbelievable performance from Celtic in Munich, outplaying Bayern Munich at their own backyard.

The Celtic midfielder took to Instagram with a post showing that he hopes to be at the club for years to come.

It’s exactly the sort of post you want to see from Hatate, with Kyogo having recently left the club. The Japanese core of Daizen Maeda, Hatate, and Kyogo is now one third down following the Japanese striker’s exit to Rennes last month.

However, it’s clear Hatate is here for the long term, and it will take a huge offer for Celtic to sell him.

He isn’t the most outspoken, and it’s great to hear that he sees ‘limitless possibilities’ in the future for himself at Celtic.
