Celtic Midfielder Currently in Talks to End Parkhead Stay – reports

According to TeamTalk, Aberdeen is closing in on a deal to re-sign former Dons midfielder Jonny Hayes from Celtic after missing out on Lewis Morgan to Sunderland.

Hayes was signed by Brendan Rodgers in the Irishman’s second season with the club but due to the form of other players and a leg break, the midfielder has found chances and form hard to come by.

The former Dons star knows his chances will be limited at the club and at 31-years of age, he will just want to play football as much as possible.

Aberdeen look like they’ve opened the door for a return in order to strengthen their side before the deadline but Celtic want a fee for their player who is signed up for another 18 months.

It all comes down to the figures but after only three appearances this season, it’s likely if a compromise can be reached, Hayes will move on before Thursday.
