There’s a rumour doing the rounds Celtic are just about wrap up a deal for Daizen Maeda after a month of speculation.
According to RecordSport, the Japanese star has been rumoured to be undergoing a Celtic medical ahead of his move to Glasgow.
Maeda has been linked with an Ange Postecoglou reunion for quite some time and we apparently could be reaching the end game.
The pair worked together at Yokohama Marinos and the striker has been in hot form in the J-League.
Celtic need to get more reinforcements in and ready for the football restart in mid-January.
The J-League came to its conclusion last month and Daizen has been enjoying some well earned time off. He could be thrust back into action if he signs on the dotted line.
Ange has a bit of time and space to go get deals done now while at the same time getting his injured stars back up to full health.
