Celtic Manager Drools Over Prospect of Parkhead Moment

BRENDAN RODGERS has told Celtic fans he will go for the win in Glasgow – even though the team only need a point to qualify for the latter stage of the Europa League.

The Irishman believes it will be very difficult to put his team out to go for a draw and wants the ‘Celtic Park experience’ to play a big part on the night.

Celtic will take on runaway group leaders Salzburg in what will be a fantastic night in Paradise.

The Disco lights, the atmosphere and the team will be right up for it as Celtic look to qualify.

“We will go into the last game going to WIN the game.” Rodgers told CelticTV.

“It’s very hard to go and just play for a point or a draw.

“We’re playing a good side – but we want to use the whole Celtic Park experience and the atmosphere to push us over the line.

“But tonight is a great, great performance and it takes us lovely into the weekend.

“The night of the Salzburg game will be a fantastic demonstration of what the Celtic support is about and that synergy between them and the team.

“I don’t need to encourage it.”

Celtic put their destiny in their own hands with a big win in Norway. The bhoys looked down in out after only managing three points from their first three games in the group.

Since then, Rodgers’ side has come out swinging and have got two very big results – one more will make sure of European football after Christmas.

With Celtic getting a lot of injured stars back, it’s going to be an electric night at Celtic Park.
