It’s widely expected that Derek McInnes will take the Ibrox hot seat should the basket case of a club stump up the cash to take him from Aberdeen. However, in the past 24 hours, a lot of money has been put on David Moyes to take the position after he revealed he was open to coming back into management.
This certainly must be a case of Ibrox accounting, putting two and two together to come up with -£6.7million.
David Moyes must be absolutely horrified even to be mentioned in the same breath as that job. Yes, he’s fell from grace since the days of Everton but, come on, the only way David Moyes would take a job in Govan is if he fancies a career change and goes to stack shelves in Asda – it would pay more.
It would make sense in a way to get a Celtic man to try and stop Celtic, seeing as the staunch brigade have no idea how to stop the Brendan Rodgers’ juggernaut.
Whoever has taken a punt on Moyes may as well have bought shares in Rangers, either is a sure fire way to lose your money.
