On a day where Celtic expected to unveil David Turnbull as their first summer signing it appears like the club and player have reached and impasse.
The club have reacted to the reports late this afternoon that contrary reports this morning the player hadn’t put pen to paper on a Celtic deal and his representatives have rejected what Celtic call a very good offer.
Currently, we have been unable to come to an agreement with the player’s agent.#CelticFC is content that it has made a magnificent offer and it is now up to the agent and player to decide if the player wants to join Celtic.
If not, we move on. (2/2)

Turnbull remains a Motherwell player and Celtic have taken the deal off the table BUT they will not be making any changes to the deal and it’s take it or leave it for the 19-year-old.
Neil Lennon was hoping to have Turnbull in for Monday’s training sessions at Lennoxtown but it now seems as if the player will not be heading to Celtic Park unless a major climb down from either party happens.
People will draw parallels between this and the John McGinn deal of last season but it’s night and day from the perspective Celtic put up the money and have made the player a lucrative offer that he has decided to turn down in the hope of a better deal down south.
