CELTIC have made a big backroom move this week by appointing former Southampton scout Kevin Hammil to the backroom recruiting team.
Football Scotland reports the Hoops have signed the scout who was instrumental in so many of the Southampton/Celtic deals in the past.
Hamill joins the Celtic scouting team that Joe Dudgeon is heading up after moving to Celtic from the City group.
The recruitment under Ange Postecoglou has been praised, and the bhoys are clearly trying to build on their knowledge and talent pool by recruiting experienced staff.
We are a far cry from the days of both Lee Congerton and, latterly, Nick Hammond, who didn’t cover themselves in glory.
