Celtic have announced a major pre-match Glasgow Derby surprise by revealing Ellie Dixon will sing ‘Jota on the wing’ before kick off on Saturday.

The singer shot to fame just before the cup final in February when Ellie sang her own version of the Celtic fans chant about their Portuguese winger.

It was in BBC Radio Live with Patrick Kielty hosting at the time.

The song went viral on social media with Celtic fans loving the acoustic version of the tune.

Ellie thanked the Celtic support and the song was quickly added to by other Celtic fans. Scottish rapper Big Bemz added his own lyrics to the song, then a few other supporters got involved with guitars and drums.

Celtic have decided to book Ellie for the game and allow her to sing to 60k Celtic fans before Jota and the rest of his teammates take on The Rangers.

It’s a massive game where Celtic could virtually wrap up the title with a win on the day.

Hopefully, Ellie gets us off to a flyer and Jota makes his mark in the derby!
