Celtic Make €1.5m Offer for a French Defender – Reports

Eurosport journalist, Manu Lonjon has claimed Celtic have made a €1.5m bid for defender Brandon Soppy.

The shutdown is allowing clubs to plan ahead and make moves they perhaps would’ve waited until the summer to act upon.

However, it’s still bewildering to us while any club would be looking to make any transfer happen with so much uncertainty.

Brandon, 18, is a right back who can also play centre back. Considering Celtic have two permanent options and one loan option at the moment for right back, it would again be a bewildering move unless the club see something special in the player.

Celtic were playing a 3-5-2 before the shutdown and weren’t using their full backs. Choosing a flat back three with Attacking wing backs.

We’d be surprised to see anything like this happen before we have a plan for football to restart.
