CELTIC are getting ready to return. As the days tick down to the game at Pittodrie, one of our World Cup stars is on his way back to Glasgow.
Daizen Maeda was photographed at the airport heading on a flight from Japan to Glasgow after a short break back home.
The World Cup goalscorer headed back to his homeland after Jpan were knocked out of the tournament by Croatia. Not one to hang about, Daizen is already returning to the club to prepare for the onslaught of festive fixtures.

The Aberdeen game may come a bit too soon for Daizen after his exploits in Qatar, but the Livingston and St Johnstone games will likely see the attacker brought back into the fold.
Daizen was Celtic’s only Japanese representative at the World Cup. After there were high hopes for Kyogo getting the nod and Reo Hatate having an outside chance of a call-up, only Maeda turned out for his country.

Maeda was part of the Japanese side that beat Germany and Spain to advance and scored in the knockout stage against Croatia before being beaten on penalties.
Maeda has had his detractors back home in Glasgow. Hopefully, this World Cup has opened some Celtic fans’ eyes.
