Celtic Looking to Open Contract Talks With Two More First Team Stars – Report

CELTIC have been busy renewing contracts since Brendan Rodgers took over.

Captain Callum McGregor, Kyogo, Daizen Maeda, Liel Abada, Stephen Welsh, Antony Ralston, Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley have all put pen to paper on new deals since Brendan Rodgers arrived at the club, and it’s not stopping there.

Celtic will look to tie Cameron Carter-Vickers and Greg Taylor down to new deals, according to SunSport.

The American defender has only played twice for Celtic this season, struggling with injury. However, there’s no doubt he’s someone that the club will look to engage in discussions with.

Signing a four-year deal last summer when he made his loan deal from Spurs permanent, his current contract is set to run out in 2026.

Greg Taylor has struggled to adapt to Brendan Rodgers’ style, but against Livingston and Motherwell there has been a notable improvement in his performances.

The 25-year-old signed a contract extension under Ange Postecoglou, but he could be set to sign another, with his current deal set to expire in 2025.

It’s great and refreshing to see Celtic be so aggressive with contract renewals.
