Celtic have been going about their business finding key staff members for roles behind the scenes over the past month or so.
Another position has popped up on our radar that the club is now looking to fill.
Celtic are now looking to hire an international soccer academy manager.
Here’s what they’re looking for:
This individual will be responsible for managing the relationships of existing international partner clubs and the programmes that exist within their contracts, whilst driving incremental revenue from new international club partnerships.
Key accountabilities will include:
– To identify, present to and secure new clubs into the Celtic Soccer Academy International Club Partnership programme.
– To manage and ensure first class delivery of key commercial components of club partnership agreements including, overseas coaching camps, coach education workshops, team tours, kit sales, international coaches’ convention etc.
– To manage and deliver key activation components of club partnership agreements including, marketing responsibilities, access to any assets, branding etc.
– To manage all logistics required for the successful delivery of the club partnership programme including staffing, travel etc.
– To ensure commercial viability of soccer academy programmes.
– To grow and maximise international soccer academy revenues.
– To maintain all records of activity and provide timeous reports as required.
Dom McKay is going through all the departments at Celtic — looking to modernise the club as he goes. There have been positions for analysts and scouts put up in the last month also.
The multimedia department is also looking for more staff — they are currently spread too thin with the number of games between the first team, the women’s side and the colts.
It’s good to see reinforcements coming in — the club have to take massive strides on the pitch and behind the scenes if they’re truly going to reach their potential.
It’s going to take a lot of work — we don’t envy Dom McKay and the difficult task he has ahead.
