Celtic were last night locked in talks with government officials over the positive Odsonne Edouard COVID-19 test.
The club are looking for clarity and guidance on how and when they can bring their strike back to Glasgow after he was tested back in his homeland with the under 21s.
RecordSport revealed the club want to know exact protocols so they can make an informed decision on the Frenchman’s Glasgow Derby status.

As we understand it — in France you need to isolate for seven days after a positive test — while in Britain it’s ten days.
Both scenarios would see Eddy back in time for the Glasgow Derby, but with no time to train or get up to speed with his teammates. This is assuming the player isn’t exhibiting strong symptoms.
At the moment, no other Celtic player has tested positive but we must hold our breath over the next few days to find out if Eddy has caught the virus after leaving for international duty.
