Lenny Agbaire wasted no time making his mark at Ayr United, scoring on his debut as Scott Brown’s side smashed Broxburn Athletic 8-0 in the Scottish Cup fourth round.

The 19-year-old, on loan from Celtic, opened the scoring after just 16 minutes with a header. Agbaire’s goal set the tone for what would become Ayr United’s biggest away win in their history.

Agbaire joined Ayr last week on a loan deal until the end of the season, giving the teenage centre-half his first taste of senior football after excelling for Celtic’s B team. The towering defender showcased his aerial ability and composure early on, nodding home the opener and helping Ayr dominate from the outset.
Scott Brown will be delighted with the impact of his young loanee, who not only contributed defensively but added to the team’s attacking threat from set pieces.
The emphatic win over Lowland League side Broxburn Athletic wasn’t just about advancing to the next round of the competition – it made history for Ayr United. The 8-0 victory marked their biggest away win ever, underlining Brown’s progress with the Championship side, albeit against a lower league side.
