Celtic Loanee In Man Of The Match Display

Celtic were crowned champions once again on Sunday as Ange Postecoglou led the Bhoys to his second title in charge of the Parkhead club.

A 2-0 win at Tynecastle secured the Hoops’ status as league winners although on the continent, a certain Hoops loanee was on top form.

Mikey Johnston, who is on loan at Vitoria Guimaraes in the Portuguese top flight, was the best player on the park in his side’s 3-0 victory over Vizela on Monday evening.

The winger registered two assists on the night as he manufactured both the first and second goals that were scored by his team.

Stats provider Fotmob gave him a rating of 8.8/10, stating he created the most chances in the match with five and completed the most dribbles in the match, also with five.

Vitoria moved into a European berth with their win and on the whole in 2022/23, the two assists meant Johnston now has eight goal contributions.

The 24 year old was also introduced to the Irish international picture earlier this season and it will be intriguing to see where his future lies when he returns to Celtic in a few months.
