Marco Tilio has been recalled to the Australia squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Indonesia and China, marking his return to international duty after over a year away from the Socceroos setup.
The 23-year-old winger is due to return to Celtic this summer after his loan spell at Melbourne City, where he has started to rediscover his form following an injury-hit spell in Glasgow.
Since rejoining Melbourne City, Tilio has featured in nine league games, scoring three goals, including two in his last three matches. His performances have been enough to catch the eye of Graham Arnold once again, earning him his first call-up in over a year.

Speaking about his future, Tilio admitted that his next move is still undecided, with discussions expected to ramp up in the coming months.
“There has been a little bit of chat but nothing concrete yet. I’m sure in the next couple of months the conversations will start to ramp up, and we’ll see where it goes from there.”
“My only thought is to play, play well and put myself out there and have better options to consider at the end of this season.”
With his loan spell coming to an end, Celtic will soon need to decide whether Tilio has a future at the club or if another move—permanent or temporary—would be best for his development.
It working out at Celtic doesn’t seem too likely, which is a shame given his talent and promise he had which caught the eyes of Celtic.
