Celtic loanee Gustaf Lagerbielke has been named in the Sweden squad for their upcoming international fixtures this month, marking another step forward in his resurgence at FC Twente.
The call up comes in the same week as the defender earned another spot in the league’s team of the week.

The 24-year-old centre-back, who joined the Dutch side on loan last summer, endured a slow start to life in the Eredivisie but has worked his way into the team and is now performing well.

His efforts have been recognised with a call-up to the national team, where he already has two caps to his name.
Former Celtic defender Carl Starfelt has also been included in the Sweden squad, continuing his international involvement since moving to Celta Vigo.
Lagerbielke’s recall shows the progress he has made in the Netherlands, and with his Celtic future uncertain beyond this season, a strong international break could further boost his stock.
It has to be said that a second chance at Celtic doesn’t look too likely. Brendan Rodgers has been using Carter-Vickers and Trusty as the main duo this season, with Liam Scales and Dane Murray deputising. Maik Nawrocki cant even get a place on the bench at the moment.
