Celtic have been starting to up their transfer game and with Kristoffer Ajer out of the building and the coffers topped up, fans are expecting to see more players through the door.
According to Scott Burns of Record Sport, two players who have been linked with us earlier this summer are still on a list of targets for Ange Postecoglou.
It’s claimed both Aaron Mooy and Ko Itakura are still very much on Celtic’s radar.
Mooy’s link to Celtic is an easy one to make with the player and Ange having spent considerable time together when Ange was the Socceroos manager. Mooy is being paid an incredible wage in the Chinese super league – the midfielder would have to take a monumental wage cut to come to Celtic.
Ko Itakura is a Man City player who just spent a successful spell on loan at FC Groningen. Man City are looking to sell this summer but Burns writes Celtic could land the defender for a substantial loan fee. Ko is set to represent his country at the olympics and isn’t available until August.
