According to a popular Newcastle FC fan media site, Scotland international Ryan Fraser is currently in talks with both Leeds United and Celtic.

While this potential signing may not be popular among Celtic fans, it could prove to be a strategic move for the club, particularly in terms of meeting UEFA’s European quota.
Fraser, who played for Aberdeen between 2010 and 2013, could replace James McCarthy or Stephen Welsh on Celtic’s list of homegrown players. Both McCarthy and Welsh are rumoured to potentially be leaving the club this summer, which would leave Celtic with two vacant slots in their quota for UEFA competitions.
While Fraser’s potential arrival at Celtic Park may not be universally welcomed, it’s worth considering the player’s credentials. As a Scotland international with Premier League experience, Fraser could bring a wealth of experience and a different dynamic to Celtic’s attack. His versatility on the wings and his ability to create scoring opportunities could be valuable assets for the club.
He almost definitely won’t be a first-team starter every single week, but he’d be a good squad player.
As always, the final decision will rest with the club’s management and their assessment of what Fraser could bring to Celtic. The recruitment has been good so far, so if these rumours do turn out to be true, we have to trust in Brendan.
