Lennon Miller has been on Celtic’s radar for a while now, with Brendan Rodgers a big fan of the Motherwell youngster.
But the Hoops aren’t alone in keeping tabs on the 18-year-old. Clubs from Italy, Germany, and England – including Premier League newcomers Sunderland – have all been linked.

Despite all the interest, nothing concrete has happened yet. According to his dad, Lee Miller, there’s been no official bids, and Lennon is heading back to Motherwell next week as planned. The midfielder is getting ready for the new SPFL season and won’t be moving just yet.
There’s been plenty of noise online, with a new club name popping up almost daily, but the family aren’t letting that distract them. They’re in no rush. What matters most is the right fit for Lennon, not just a big name or flashy move.
Miller Sr said: (STV News), “He’s back to Motherwell on Monday. Nothing has happened as yet. Yes, there’s speculation and talk on Twitter etc but it’s a different club every day. It’s quite funny watching it and seeing how it’s progressing but essentially nobody has made any bids for him.
“Yes, he would like to further his career down the line but we’ll just need to see what happens.
“It’s so difficult to say, ‘This club are interested, that will be a good one for him. Is that a good environment for him to be in? Is there a pathway? Are you going to play there? Are there players ahead of you? There’s so many different things that come into the equation. There’s so many different layers.
“Listen, clubs have been interested in Lennon since he was 14. There’s always been talk and people wanting to take him here, there and everywhere. We’ve always had a focus on stay at Motherwell, do your time, and see where it takes you from there.”

Celtic are definitely interested, but they’ll need to be patient, and serious. If they want to land him, they’ll have to show there’s a real pathway into the first team and not just sign him to sit on the bench.
Lennon Miller’s next move will come when the time is right, not just when the first big offer comes in. The focus is on what’s best for his future – not just chasing headlines.
