Lennon Miller’s father, Lee Miller, has offered an update on his son’s future at Motherwell, hinting the teenage midfielder could be off before he returns from injury.

Rumours linking the 18‑year‑old Celtic target to a move away from Fir Park have stepped up pace over the past week. Lee Miller confirmed negotiations remain ongoing with an unnamed club, hinting fresh developments could be imminent.
While the precise destination remains unclear, the focus appears to be narrowing on a side keen to secure Miller’s services sooner rather than later.
That urgency could lead to an approach being lodged before the youngster’s return to full fitness, ensuring negotiations occur while he’s still unavailable for selection.
Despite his injury, the teenager’s desire to be out on the pitch remains strong. His father stressed that Lennon is eager to play and enjoy football; ambitions have given way to the immediate wish of breaking back into competitive action.
He said: (RecordSport), “I think there will be a bid that comes in, if not this week maybe next week.
“But there is a lot of talk behind the scenes, and the clubs are speaking together and we will see what happens.
“The thing is with Lennon, he just wants to play football.
“He would have played in that game yesterday, he just wants to play football, go an enjoy it, and that is what he does best.”
Miller has come through Motherwell’s youth setup and already played for the first team. His skill and composure on the ball have turned heads, sparking talk of a possible move. Celtic are believed to be tracking him closely, with other clubs also thought to be interested. Motherwell could soon have a firm offer on the table.
It’s not uncommon for players to move while injured, as it gives the buying club time to sort terms and plan ahead. But it can be tricky for the player, who has to recover and settle in somewhere new at the same time. Motherwell, on the other hand, might see now as the right time to do business, especially if his stock continues to rise.

For Celtic fans, this is a move worth keeping an eye on. If a deal is struck soon, it could show real intent in the club’s youth recruitment. Wherever Miller ends up, it’s clear he’s focused on playing football again, and whoever signs him will be getting a lad with serious talent and hunger to match.
