Celtic Linked Duo On Goal Scoring Form

As we approach the January transfer window, the rumour mill will start to heat up with players being linked with a move to Celtic.

This year, there is the added interest of Ange Postecoglou, who has been insistent on the fact he will look to explore markets, which clubs in Scotland haven’t looked into as much in previous years.

Of course, Ange’s previous job was in Japan with Yokohama F. Marinos, and it seems like a league he will attempt to target over the next few months.

So far, we have already been linked with two players from J League – Dazien Maeda and Reo Hatate.

This morning, links have even suggested that the move for Hatate, a midfielder currently playing with Kawasaki, is already far down the line and close to completion (Read More)

For now, though, both players focus remains on the action in Japan with their current clubs, and they appear to be going well for the duo.

Both players were also on fine goalscoring form this morning, grabbing a goal each this morning, as Marinos and Kawasaki picked up three points.

Below is a video of Maeda’s goal, once again showing the pressing ability that the 24-year old frontman has and what he could bring to the side.

It is exciting times, being linked with players from a league in which we don’t see much business done in Scotland.

That excitement is aided by the success of Kyogo Furuhashi, who has quickly become a fans favourite due to his performances in Ange Postecoglou’s side.

If both Maeda and Hatate can have half the success that Kyogo has already had at Celtic, we will be adding some much-needed quality and depth to the squad.
