Celtic Linked Defender Set To Leave Club Without Playing A Minute

Defender Ben Davies is reportedly set to depart English Premier League side Liverpool without playing a single minute for the club.

The 25-year old has been involved in somewhat of a ‘transfer saga’ with Celtic over the last six months.

Back in January, the defender was reportedly set to join the Hoops on a pre-contract deal from Preston North End, with some outlets reporting that the deal was done.

However, Liverpool stepped into the deal late, and Davies completed his move to the English giants.

It hasn’t gone to plan in terms of playing time for Davies at the club, and he has been linked recently with Celtic once again in a possible loan deal.

However, as reported by Sun Sport, Jurgen Klopp’s side has now decided and is prepared to let the defender go on a permanent deal without playing a single minute at the club.

It remains to be seen whether or not Celtic will make their move again, to bring him in or a permanent deal or not, but in recent weeks it does appear they have been keen to make some sort of deal happen.
