Celtic could be about to turn their attention to Danish striker Kasper Dolberg as Adam Idah moves closer to a permanent exit.
According to SunSport, Idah is on the brink of joining Swansea City, with the Irishman keen on a fresh challenge. His departure would leave a void in Brendan Rodgers’ forward line, and Celtic are ready to act swiftly with Dolberg emerging as a leading candidate to replace him.
The Hoops confirmed the £4.5million signing of winger Michel-Ange Balikwisha from Royal Antwerp on Thursday night. While the Belgian wideman strengthens the flanks, Rodgers has made no secret of his desire to bolster the attack further before Monday’s deadline.

Dolberg, 27, is expected to leave Anderlecht in the coming days following their Europa Conference League elimination at the hands of AEK Athens. The Danish international featured in their 2-0 defeat in Greece, but his future looks increasingly likely to lie away from Brussels.
Reports in Belgium earlier this summer suggested Anderlecht valued the striker at around £8million. With two years left on his deal but financial pressure mounting, the Belgian club are prepared to listen to offers. Multiple sides are monitoring Dolberg’s situation, and Celtic could now join the race.
The striker boasts an impressive scoring record. He netted 24 goals last season and has started the new campaign in strong form with five in eight appearances. That pedigree, combined with his European experience, makes him an attractive option for Rodgers as he seeks to maintain firepower in Celtic’s title defence and Europa League campaign.
Celtic’s priority will now be to ensure that Idah’s departure is quickly offset by fresh firepower. Dolberg, with his proven track record at both club and international level, could fit the bill as the Hoops look to close their business in the final days of the transfer window.
