Celtic Legend Wants Rodgers as Scotland Boss

CELTIC LEGEND JIM CRAIG has told the SFA they should chap Brendan Rodgers’ door if they’re serious about improving the national team’s fortunes.

Speaking after being inducted into the Scottish hall of fame with the rest of the Lisbon Lions, the former Celtic defender was full of praise for the Irishman.

Craig said: “Brendan Rodgers certainly has the capability of managing Celtic and Scotland but whether he would want to do it is another matter.

“It’s an enormously big decision for the SFA who they appoint next because Euro 2020 games will be played at Hampden and it would be hellish if we weren’t there.

“It puts even more strain on the incumbent, whoever that may be. Of the names being put forward very few are in football at the present moment – at least Brendan is.

While this may be a great idea for Scotland I don’t see many Celtic fans warming up to the idea of Brendan Rodgers splitting his time.
