Celtic Legend ‘Surprised’ By Poor Condition of Ibrox

CELTIC LEGEND and Lisbon Lion Jim Craig spoke exclusively to CeltsAreHere.com ahead of his new book release that chronicles his own experiences during the famous ’67 season.

The former Celtic defender told us he was ‘surprised’ during his last two visits to Ibrox for the Glasgow Derby.

Celtic winning 5-1 and 2-0 on the two occasions Jim speaks of.

The Lisbon Lion spoke about competition in the league and that with such a poor cross-city rival it may possibly hinder Celtic in Europe.

“Even our traditional rivals from across the city are not in the best of financial health and I was really surprised at the poor state of the inside of Ibrox when I attended one of the ‘Derbies’ last season.

“If we don’t get the competition we need from teams in Scotland, then it means that when we hit the European scene, we have to raise out game quite considerably when we come up against some of the Continent’s best teams.”
