Celtic Legend Martin O’Neill Set to Ruin Ibrox Club’s Momentum – Reports

MARTIN O’NEILL has been urged to recall defender Joe Worrall early from his Ibrox loan as he gets ready to steady the ship at Nottingham Forest.

The Celtic legend has been made manager of a club he has attained legendary status with as a player and now looks to sort out the mess they’re currently in.

O’Neill was sacked as manager of Republic of Ireland during the final months of 2018 and has been waiting for an opportunity to get back into the game.

The former Celtic treble winner has been urged to disrupt the Ibrox clubs season in order to help his own by Forest legend Garry Birtles.

Speaking about the possibility of getting Joe back, Birtles was miffed why he was ever let go.

“Joe going out on loan was a strange one. A lot of people were puzzled about him being allowed to go up to Scotland. he told the National.

“I am not surprised he has done so well. There’s a possibility he could be brought back down.

“We have got big injury problems in that position at the moment. I am sure Martin will look at the bigger picture.

“Joe was one of a few good young players who came through the youth ranks at Forest. I am sure he is one who Martin will look at very closely.”

Of course, any disruption to the Govan side’s season would be a direct benefit to Celtic and their own season with the Ibrox club currently occupying second spot in the league so it’s very pertinent.

Could a former Celtic manager deal them a hammer blow?
