Celtic currently lead the way when it comes to unbeaten league runs across Europe’s top ten leagues [@SweeperPod].
The Hoops have been in fine form this season and currently sit at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a comfortable nine point cushion that puts them in a great position to win a second league title under the stewardship of Ange Postecoglou.
It was a rocky start for Postecoglou at the beginning of his tenure in charge of the Hoops but since losing to Livingston back in September 2021 they have only lost one other match in the league at the hands of St Mirren in Paisley.
In Celtic’s past 57 league matches they have lost only one match which feeds into their phenomenal unbeaten run which currently sits at 18 games.

Sitting proudly at the top of the table, they are above the likes of Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Newcastle who have all enjoyed similar runs in league football.
Eddie Howe’s Newcastle are closest to the Hoops having not lost in 16 league matches along with Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise.
It’s always nice for the club to be recognised amongst some of Europe’s elite but it won’t mean anything unless the team go on to win the league which is the main focus.
